Wal van Lierop is a globally recognized visionary, co-founder of Chrysalix EVC and 35 year energy industry veteran. He was formerly Vice President of Strategic Planning at Westcoast Energy, a McKinsey consultant, and a university professor. Van Lierop is responsible for the overall strategy and leadership of Chrysalix EVC, as well as fund raising and strategic partnerships with leading financial and industrial companies worldwide. He has a significant track record as a VC and has had hands-on involvement in dozens of innovation companies. Between Chrysalix EVC and its 19 portfolio companies, van Lierop has been directly responsible for raising more than $1 billion for early stage technology ventures. He has been a valued advisor to major oil companies, the World Bank, and the EU. He has a PhD in Economics from the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam.
