#GLOBE2014 Trending + Our Top 5 Tweets

From Mayor Gregor Robertson’s opening speech on Tuesday evening until the dying embers of the GLOBE after-parties on Friday evening #GLOBE2014 set Twitter alight with fervent discussion as to how business can solve our biggest environmental challenges.

The tone was an overwhelmingly positive one with Twitter heavyweights such as @ChristyClarkBC @JimHarris @ElizabethMay @MayorGregor @MarcGunther all weighing in with comments, questions and supporting evidence as to what to do to solve the threat posed by man-induced climate change.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the online discussion and helped #GLOBE2014 move from the realm of niche business conference (albeit a critically important one) to mainstream trending topic for both Vancouver and Toronto. In addition, the #RFKGLOBE clean capitalism armchair discussion between Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Wal Van Lierop went straight to the top of the Vancouver trends.
